AN INDIAN academic who took a liking to Chinese calligraphy in 1989 has more than 300 pieces in his collection.
Lincoln University College vice-chancellor Dr Amiya Bhaumik said a Chinese friend gave him his first calligraphy art piece with the words “Believe in yourself” in Chinese.
An industrial training memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Department of Biotechnology, Lincoln University College Malaysia and Madam Peggy Cheng Poh Guat, CEO of Ganofarm R&D SDN BHD on 11th April 2017, Tuesday at Grusonn Wellness Café, Sky-Pod Square, Bandar Puchong Jaya, Selangor. Ganofarm Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysian-based mushroom research company that cultivates, develops, manufactures, and markets mushrooms. Sherman Ryner Suhaibun (Bachelor of Biotechnology’s student) is undergoing industrial training at Ganofarm SDN. BHD. He produced hand wash soap from cooking oil and orange peel wastes through biological treatment successfully .
On 11th April 2017 Prof. Datuk Dr. Hajjah Bibi Florina Abdullah, Pro-Chancellor, LincolnUniversity College was invited for the Pertemuan Koordinasi Nasional(PERKONAS), Asosiasi Pendidikan Diploma Farmasi Indonesia (APDFI) meeting atYogyakarta. She delivered a special address on “Professional Development forPharmacy.” 124 institutions with pharmacy,around Indonesia attended this meeting. The objective of this meeting was to introduceand promote Lincoln University College for future collaborations for Master andPhD programme, summer camp, international seminar and journal article.
The Faculty of Engineering successfully carried out their Aviation practical training at Politeknik Banting Selangor on 10th & 11th April 2017. The Practical was conducted by Mr. Sathia Segaran and Mr.Vijakomara Krishnasamy, Lecturers from Department of Aviation, LUC, with the assistance of Lecturers from Politeknik Banting Selangor. To be noted that, this practical is done every semester at various Aviation Facilities in the Klang Valley(Selangor) with an objective to expose the students to real aircraft environment and prepare them with the skills and Maintenance Practices required for their future job employment.
