Physiotherapy- The Enthralled Department of Lincoln University College
A team of 22 physiotherapists including students from Department of Physiotherapy, of Lincoln University College made its hat-trick by rendering their support as Medics (physiotherapy) in the Standard Charted Marathon KL on 21st May 2017. Talk with the Deans
Lincoln University College organized the event “Talk with the Deans” to preview the Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy programmes on 20th May 2017 at its Kelana JayaLearning Site. Around 15 students with parents fervently attended theevent. The objective of the event was to create awareness and provide in depthinformation about these programmes. Dato’ Dr. Marzukhi Bin Md.Isa, Dean Faculty ofMedicine, Prof. Dr. Rahimah Abdul Kadir, Dean Faculty of Dentistry andProf.Dr.Ahmad Bin Mahmud, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy assisted by their lecturers offered academiccounseling to the students and parents. Campus tour was also arranged, wherethe students and parents were exposed to the Anatomy lab, Dental lab, andPharmacy lab. The scholarship and financial assistance were explained by the staffmember of Marketing Department. Overall the event left a sign of hope andcontentment in the minds of both students and parents.
Lincoln University College had the privilege to invite Dr David Bartholomew, Vice President, Becker Professional Education, Health Care,USA, to LUC Kelana Jaya Learning Site on 19th May 2017. He delivered aspecial lecture on USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) to the medical students. He convoluted the steps involved toapproach The United States to become a licensed specialized doctor. Heexpounded the USMLE Step1, Step 2 CK (clinical knowledge) and Step3 CS(clinical skill) exams and focused on USMLE scores, requirement, applicationpackage, interview, ranking, and the rules for getting residency.
