The Malaysian Pharmacy Students’ Association (MyPSA) has awarded the ‘MyPSA Best Student Award’ for the year 2018/2019 to Mr. Yee Teck Fah, Student of Bachelor of Pharmacy, Lincoln University College, Malaysia.
Dr.Asita Elengoe from Lincoln University College Malaysia (one of two participants from Malaysia) has been selected by Government of India to participate in ASEAN-INDIA training workshop on Emerging Technologies for Young Biotech Professionals from ASEAN which was held from 20-28th September 2019 at New Delhi. This workshop was organized by CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology.
Prof. Dr. Zulkarnain Hatt, Dean, Faculty of Social Science, Arts & Humanities, Lincoln University College participated in the 25th Asia-Pacific Joint Regional Social Work Conference on Social Work partnership towards an Equal Society – Asia-Pacific Perspective in Bengaluru, India from 17th to 20th September 2019. He was one of the guest speakers as the President of the Asian and Pacific Association for Social Work Education (APASWE).
The Faculty of Engineering, Lincoln University College, Malaysia conducted a two-day workshop on Outcome Based Education (OBE) on 21st and 22nd September 2019 (Saturday and Sunday). Dr. Shahiza Ahmad Zainudin (Deputy Director, General Studies Unit, Department of Polytechnic and Community College, MOHE) and Dr. Noreen Kamarudin (Deputy Director, Curriculum Division, Department of Polytechnic and Community College, MOHE) were the trainers of the workshop.
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and International institution of Waste Management (IIWM) will jointly organize the Waste Management Accelerators for Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs (WAVE) Summit 2019 on November – December 2019 at Malaviya National Institute of Technology in Jaipur, India. Based on the theme “Make Your Own Bag”, the summit will inspire the next generation of women to be empowered. The conclave is being expected to motivate more than 5,000 aspiring women students to take up income generation activity and entrepreneurship in waste management through making a business out this unique concept.
As a part of the event, about 5,000 women from AICTE approved institutes from all over India will make pre-standardized eco-friendly reusable cloth carry bags from waste cut-piece cloth materials from the garment industry. This “Make Your Own Bag” activity will promote the concept of waste management principle of 3 R’s (Reduce, Recycle and Reuse).
