Indonesian Students Visit

87 students with 6 lecturers from Akademi Radiology Yayasan Nusantara Group, Jakarta, Indonesia, visited Lincoln University College as part of their Educational Trip (Summer Camp) on 25th April 2016. The summer camp continued till 29th April 2016. The students were from Radiology background; this educational trip was to amplify their knowledge about Radiology career in International perspective, safety, and quality assurance and extended roles in radiography. A special session on the topic “Basic Quality in Radiology” was arranged in LUC Kelana Jaya Learning site. The participation certificates to the students were issued by Dato (AMB) Mohd Yusoff A. Bakar Deputy Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs in the presence of Associate Prof. Datin Hafizah Che Hassan Deputy Dean, Faculty of Nursing. The students also visited major places in Malaysia.

Lincoln University College had the privilege to welcome Dr. Hafizurrachman, MD., MPH, President director, Ms. Evita Rivain Rachman, BBA., S.S, Director of Corporate Marketing and Mr. Abdul Rachman, Director of International Marketing –Asian, from Indonesia Maju School of Health Science and Hospital Dr. Hafiz Cianjur, west Java, Indonesia on 20th April 2016. Dato (AMB) Mohd Yusoff A. Bakar, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs, Dr. Ismail Mohd Rashid, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Corporate Affairs, and Haji Mansor Ferner, Director of Curriculum Affairs, Ms. Lina Tio , Regional Marketing Manager, LUC welcomed the guest. After discussion, the guest visited LUC Kelana Jaya Learning site and met Associate Prof. Datin Hafizah Ch Hassan Deputy Dean, Faculty of Nursing and also met faculty members of Dentistry. They were taken for LUC campus tour and were shown the skill labs and dental clinic. The objective behind their visit was to discuss about proposal for summer camp, collaboration for Nursing and IT programmes and proposal for Memorandum of Understanding.

LUC hosts Students from Sri Lanka for Industrial Training

59 MBA students from Faculty of Management Studies of Rajarata University, Sri Lanka, accompanied by Dr. KGA Udaya Kumara Director, MBA, Mr. Pushpakumara, Coordinator, MBA and Mrs. Chandani Gamage, Senior Lecturer, visited Lincoln University College on 19th April 2016. The compulsory overseas industrial training program is organized by the Faculty as an integral part of its Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree Program with a view to share the Malaysian experience on new development in university education and industry innovation and new practices.

Convention between Lincoln University College and The Tun Hussein ONN

On 16th April 2016 (Monday) Dr. Norasidi Bin Salim Al-Haj, General Manager, The Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital,Malaysia, visited LUC with his team. He and his team were welcomed by Prof. Datuk Dr Hajjah Bibi Florina Abdullah, Pro-Chancellor, LUC and Prof. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, CEO and Vice Chancellor, LUC. The meeting was organized in LUC Kelana Jaya Learning site. The intention behind this meeting was to discuss about the collaboration between both the organizations and also to have a partnership in future to run degree courses in Ophthalmic Science. Prof. Datuk Dr. Abdul Gani Bin Mohammed Din, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and Haji Mansor Ferner, Director of Curriculum Affairs, LUC, was also present in the meeting. The team also visited skill lab and dental clinic.

LUC adds one more feather to its cap Memorandum of Understanding signed with Yayasan Nusantara Group

In an effort to promote global collaboration in the development of education and training 
Lincoln University College and Yayasan Nusantara Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15th April 2016 (Friday) at LUC Mayang Campus. The MoU outlines the plans to work together to expand their relationship as well as explore ways to improve international collaboration to meet the global challenges, exchange information resources and publications, co-operate in the training program of innovation and commercialization, organization of seminars, workshops, colloquiums and conferences, exchange staff, transfer of sharing expertise and technology. The MOU was signed by Prof. Datuk Dr Hajjah Bibi Floriana Abdullah, Pro-Chancellor, LUC, and Prof Dr. Ir. H. Idiannor Mahyudin, MSi Ristekdikti koordinator kopertis wilayah xi kalimantan, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Emmy Sri Mahreda, MP Program Pasca Sarjana PSDAL (pengelolaan sumber daya alam dan lingkungan) universitas lambung mangkurat and Mr. Mohd Saleh Mursyid, Yayasan Nusantara Group.
