Workshop on Cell Culture Solutions for Research: Identifying Biomarkers, Disease Modelling and Characterization attended by Staff and Students of Lincoln

Lincoln University College faculty members Dr. Asita, Dr. Farzana and Ms. Priya, Dr. Elan Selvi and Dr. Al-abed, and Biotechnology students Ms. Andrina and Ms. Vishalani participated in “Cell Culture Solutions for Research: Identifying Biomarkers, Disease Modelling and Characterization” workshop at Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya on 31st July 2019. The workshop covers tips and methods on cell lines selection, cell culture consumable solution, identifying biomarkers, disease modelling examples, applications of primary cell lines, hTERT, isogenic cell line, novel methods such as crispy, human cancer model initiative.

Cultural Counselor at the Saudi Embassy in Kuala Lumpur visited LUC

Lincoln university college this morning received a courtesy call from His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khalid Faraj Al – Mutlaq the Cultural Counselor at the Saudi Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and Dr. Mohammed Omar Abusabbah the director of Cultural and Social Affair During the visit, opportunities for academic cooperation between the university and the Saudi side were discussed.

Presented by a representative of the University Prof. Datuk Dr. Hjh. Bibi Florina Binti Abdullah (Pro-Chancellor) and Prof. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik (CEO and Vice-Chancellor).

“Beyond Your Limit” Journey to Sg Chilling, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Hulu Selangor

Lincoln University College’s Adventure Club under the guidance of Student Affairs Department has an event at Sg Chilling, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Hulu Selangor on 27th July 2019 (Saturday). Twenty four (24) Lincoln students accompanied with 3 staff members participated in the event. The aim for this activity is to produce active and healthy students either in mentally or physically. Furthermore, this activity gives opportunities for participants to release their stress by exploring the nature. In addition, this activity trains the participants to act independently in different situations.
